My Second Labor was Quick, Powerful, Natural and Just Plain Good!

I don't know why but when I started thinking about the birth of my second child suddenly the idea of hypnosis for childbirth interested me. I had never done hypnotherapy before and was totally uninterested in the idea for my first birth. But after having a wonderful first birth in a hospital surrounded by two wonderful midwives, I realized that there was still something missing for me. I still didn't really know how to deal with the pain of childbirth. I knew it was possible but I hadn't really been able to master it for my first birth. As my second approached, I knew I had to do something.

I heard about Marie-Paul from someone on boobie brigade who had used her and then I saw her video with a second time mom on you tube and felt it was the right path for me. So I called Marie-Paul. And our first conversation was so inspiring and calming I knew I was on to something. Indeed, I thoroughly enjoyed all my sessions with her and felt that she really listened to my needs.

The tapes she made for me were pure heaven. Especially since it was a second baby I found that I had so little time to focus on my pregnancy, with a toddler around. Marie-Paul's audio tapes helped me immensely in that regard. They gave me a focus, a way to carve out meaningful time for me to celebrate the pregnancy and create scared space around it. To envision how I wanted things to go. I found they brought me much needed peace and moments of rest. They were often the only quiet in my day. I came to relish them. And then of course I found that somehow they did indeed work!!

When the time of my labor came I remained really calm. I was able to enjoy the waves of childbirth. Sure it still hurt but there was something else there too. Something that allowed me to stay connected to my baby and my husband and to truly be open to the thrill of the ride. My second labor was amazing, quick, powerful, natural and just plain good. And I really feel the tapes were a huge part of it.

And then of course, there is Marie-Paul herself! We hired her to also doula for us and so she arrived that day at exactly the right time for everyone.
She helped us get to the hospital at the right time and she helped me make many crucial decisions that really determined how my labor progressed and got me the results I wanted. She was a calm but powerful force and my husband and I really were grateful for her presence. Not to mention she has wonderful healing hands that really helped soothe me

I heartily recommend her for anyone seeking to have a conscious loving birth. Marie-Paul really helped us have the birth we wanted. We are very happy with the outcome. Also, our baby is very calm and grounded; something Marie-Paul kept telling us would happen, just as a result of doing the tapes during the pregnancy. I can't say this is why, but I can say he is that way, so hey, maybe she's right...?
